Building community through film

We are more than just a film club - REDEYE is a not-for-profit organisation which means we put all our resources into the communities we work with. We love encouraging young underrepresented voices to enrich creative communities with their perspectives. There are loads of opportunities to get insight into creative industries. And for young people, we're setting up one-to-one time with industry experts and work experience opportunities in creative / media companies.

Festivals

CELEBRATING SOUL Film & Arts Festival! A self-funded festival, commemorating the end of our first season, to celebrate the community and artists we worked with. From an Acting workshop, Mindfulness & Creativity workshop, Panel Conversation + Film Screening and a Sip & Paint workshop. It was all about taking part in being creative.

CALABASH festival featured a special screening of One Hand Don’t Clap (1988), a documentary tracing the legacy of calypso music through the lives of Trinidadian icons Lord Kitchener and Calypso Rose.

The Film, live music by Metronomes, Dele Sosimi, The Oracle and Joy Crookes; workshops by Portland N’ Pals Sarabi, and SeedArchive’s offered a vital counterpoint to the ongoing displacement and erasure faced by communities in Peckham today.
